Nightsesh for parents
Nightsesh is an AI study platform for iPhone, iPad and Mac, built on each student's own class material. It's made for anyone who studies: high-school students, college students and adults learning on their own (13 and up). This page is for parents and guardians of students under 18.
Your teen records a class or adds their notes, photos of the whiteboard, slides, a chapter or the teacher's study guide. Nightsesh turns it into:
- Organized class notes from a recorded class: the big ideas, definitions, what the teacher stressed, and questions to check themselves.
- Practice cards that come back at the right time, so your teen remembers the material on test day.
- Nightsesh's AI to study with, by chat (Chat study), out loud (Voice study), or by listening on a walk (Walk & study). It knows their notes, points to the exact slide, page or moment in class, and explains things another way when they're stuck.
- Exam dates and readiness, so your teen can see how prepared they are for each test.
Nightsesh's AI is AI, not a person, and never a companion. It can make mistakes, so every answer shows where it came from in your teen's own material.
Safety
- Teen safety rules on every AI request. Every request Nightsesh's AI handles, typed or spoken, comes with rules we wrote for teens. The AI keeps things classroom-appropriate, refuses harmful instructions, doesn't ask for personal details, and says it's an AI, not a person.
- Learning, not copying. Nightsesh is built to help your teen learn the material, not to hand in answers for them.
- Crisis support on screen. If something your teen types or says suggests they may be in danger or thinking about self-harm, Nightsesh shows a support card right away: call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911 in an emergency. This check runs on the device. It doesn't notify anyone, including parents, the school or emergency services, and it never blocks studying.
- 13 and up only. Everyone confirms they're at least 13 before signing in. We don't knowingly allow accounts for children under 13.
- No ads. Ever. Nightsesh shows no ads and has no advertising or tracking code from other companies.
- We never sell your teen's data, and we don't share it for advertising.
- Report anything. Every AI reply and every card can be reported from the app. For anything urgent, email [email protected] with "Urgent" in the subject line.

- Nightsesh asks your teen before sending anything to an AI for the first time. They can turn AI study help off in Settings › AI & privacy and keep studying the cards and notes they already have.
- Deleting data: in the app, go to Settings › Account › Delete account. This permanently removes your teen's study account from our servers: synced Subjects, material and files, notes, cards, chats, progress, feedback and balances. Apple keeps its own purchase records. Copies on the device stay until they're deleted or the app is removed.
- Parents can ask us directly. If your teen is under 18, email [email protected] to ask what we have about them, get a copy, or have it deleted. We'll take reasonable steps to confirm the request is genuine. Students 18 and older make these requests themselves.

How it fits your teen's classes
Nightsesh works with what your teen's teacher actually teaches, not a generic textbook. Every card and every answer points back to your teen's own notes, slides or recording (for example, "Slide 12" or "Audio 34:00–34:30").
Before the first recording in each Subject (class), Nightsesh asks your teen to confirm they have permission to record. Please remind them to follow the teacher's and school's rules on recording.
What it costs, compared with a tutor
A private tutor usually costs $25–80 an hour (Tutors.com, Private Prep). Nightsesh is available any time, day or night, and it knows your teen's notes. It isn't a replacement for a great teacher or tutor. It's help for all the hours in between.

- Class notes: your teen records a class, it's transcribed on their device, and Nightsesh turns it into organized notes and quiz questions. The recording never leaves their device.
- Free trial: yearly Plus and Pro start with a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Extra voice time: if your teen runs out, they can buy 30 minutes for $5.99 or 2 hours for $22.99. These never expire.
- Prices are in U.S. dollars, and sales tax may apply. The price shown in the App Store before purchase is the one that applies.
Paying, Ask to Buy and Family Sharing
- You stay in control. All purchases go through Apple. If your teen's Apple Account is in your family group with Ask to Buy on, you'll get a request on your own device and can approve or decline it (Apple Support). Nothing is charged until you approve.
- Family Sharing isn't available for Nightsesh plans. Each plan covers one student. If you have two students, each needs their own plan.
- Cancel anytime on the iPhone or iPad that has the subscription: Settings › [name] › Subscriptions › Nightsesh. The plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
